Digital Humanities: An Epistemology

This book focuses on a major transformation taking place in human sciences. The paradigm of "post-disciplinary" announces the demise of theory, which will dissolve into a statistical treatment of "big data ." In this situation we affirm the need for a rearrangement of disciplines in the construction of a new medium of knowledge. In the book we show what the new conditions of the production of knowledge are in a transdisciplinary perspective.

After difficulties of inter-disciplinarity and blockages, this is the establishment of shared knowledge based on a common platform that promises a combination of literacy and numeracy. The semiotic carried by information technologies opens up the possibility of a confrontation between disciplines.
